Seferina Berch is a 3L at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is this year's Vice President of the Latino/a Law Students Association. After becoming involved in LALSA as a 1L Rep, she decided to take more ownership of the organization her second year, when she served as Co-President with Ellie Gladstone. During her first year helping to run LALSA, Seferina helped to organize the annual conference, built relations with the LLM class, and worked with several firms and alumni to host panels on employment law and international arbitration, in addition to academic success and OCI success panels for the 1L class.
Seferina is from New York City (Manhattan, to be precise) although spends considerable time lounging in a hammock in Belize. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2014 with a B.A. in American History and went straight through to law school. Seferina spent her 1L summer at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in DC and her 2L summer at Sidley Austin NY. In her free time she can be found watching Patriots games, binge-watching Netflix, or bowling on the Penn Law Bowling League.
After graduation, Seferina plans to return to Sidley Austin's New York office.
